Every medical fee is paid by you directly to the hospital — always. PandaCareVIP provides coordination, interpretation and travel service only. We never hold, collect or mark up any hospital treatment fee, we take no commission from any hospital, and we accept no responsibility for medical outcomes. Treatment decisions and their results rest solely with the licensed hospital and its physicians.

Prices on this page are indicative. The hospital's own written estimate always takes precedence; our service fee is quoted separately before you commit to anything. Indicative 2026 figures.

The honest arithmetic

Where China is actually cheaper — and where it is not

Agencies pick the biggest number they can find and call it "savings". This comparison includes flights, hotels and our fee — because that is the number you actually pay.

The checkup is the one row where the arithmetic does not work. People come for it because the answer arrives in two days instead of two quarters — not because it is cheap. If price is your only reason, we will tell you to stay home. We have done exactly that.

"All-in" means flights, hotel, hospital fees and our service fee. Indicative USD figures; excludes complications and extended stays. Hospital charges are only ever confirmed by the hospital's own written estimate.

Most of the anxiety in medical travel is not knowing what the bill will be. So the sequence is fixed, and the first number in it is zero.

No deposit, no booking fee, no "registration". You send your files, we read them, and the written plan with the itemized estimate arrives — free, and yours to keep even if you never book.

Our service fee is charged when the written plan is delivered — not at booking. Cancel before that and nothing is owed. After that, the plan is already yours.

Hospital deposits and balances follow the hospital's own written terms — which we put in front of you before you pay anything, so you know exactly which day a payment becomes non-refundable.

Per hospital terms

Our fee is invoiced in USD, payable by bank transfer or card. Hospital treatment fees stay separate — always paid by you directly to the hospital.

Insurance

Insurance usually pays for treatment — almost never for checkups

These are two different things and it pays to keep them apart.

Treatment — two paths, very different cashflow

Direct billing means your insurer pays the hospital against a pre-authorization and you only cover your co-pay. Pay-then-claim means you settle the full invoice and claim weeks later — the difference between floating $12,000 and $1,500.

Checkups — assume self-pay

Most policies exclude overseas checkups and travel insurance explicitly does not cover them. Some international policies include $500–1,500 a year for health screening, usually with waiting periods and pre-authorization.
